This is my REAL portfolio - The other Anton Fletchers are cheap knockoffs;
Born and bred in Adelaide, I like to think I've taken my mother's artistic know-how and combined it with my father's logic, which is why at an early age I fell in love with making art with computers.
I've always had a computer in my house, and remember making an text based animation in basic on my Commodore 64 when I was only 6. After that, without mentor I made my own way, and taught myself everything I could, in highschool I developed a ray-tracer, although it could only render chrome spheres (hey, that's all lots of people use 3Dsmax for anyhow).
By the end of highschool, I had been given the impression that there was no future between art and computers and put my knowhow into becoming a technician, after a few years on help desks playing around with 3DSmax in my spare time, I had a couple of animations played on television, and dropped my carreer to go study multimedia.
Before the end of my degree, I got the opportunity to work at CGCharacter on a movie project, an offer too good to turn down. Which led, somehow, to me becoming an admin for CGSociety, it's great to be in a position where I can contribute to the community that I've already gained so much from.
Anyhow, when I'm not tapping madly away at a keyboard, I can usually be found tooling around with 3DSmax. I find modeling relaxing and really enjoy building rigs and simulations.
Otherwise, I live for music, and films that no one else ever likes (I'm a big fan of David Lynch). I think special effects are something that shouldn't be seen, to work at their best.
I'm a great fan of gadgets, and from childhood have always opened stuff up to find out how it works, and if I can change things.
